The design of the Jordan Proto React University Red 2019 was inspired by space exploration. It features a synthetic shroud overlaying the internal bootie. Under bright lighting, reflective materials in the design glow. A branded heel strap and pull tabs are at the tongue and heel. The upper, shoelaces, and tongue are red. The midsoles are white, and some spots of sail decorate the outsoles to complement the color. A noodle pattern provides traction and peeks up along the soles' visible parts. The shoe also features Nike React foam for lightweight cushioning.
